Catalyst Contemporary presents "Remnants of a Mystical World”, a group exhibition featured in both galleries. The work examines ideas of surrealism and spiritualism by capturing and ruminating on the body in the photographic medium.

The photographs in “Remnants of Mystical World” offer various scenes and ruminations on life, death, and the numerous elements outside our material world. Through the lens of warrior-based attitudes and resilience, the works come together to present mystery and even approaches to death. Featured artists include: Greg Dohler, Chrissy Fitchett, Kei Ito, Erika Larsen, Rebecca Marimutu and Geoff Robertson.

The visual conversation among these six artists in the gallery is an investigation of the realm beyond our physical world. Looking to the past, present and possible futures, the exhibition brings together relationships between ancient and new visions of what lies beyond.
