Born

Caryn Martin is a Baltimore-based multidisciplinary artist whose work integrates painting, printmaking, and installation. She is a 2022 Finalist for The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards. Martin received her MAT and MFA degrees from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and studied painting and art history in the Umbrian region of Italy. Her work has been shown at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore, Institute of Contemporary Art Baltimore, Maryland Art Place, Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College, Anne Arundel Community College, MICA, The Delaplaine Arts Center, Waddell Art Gallery, and School 33. In recent years, she has participated in residencies in Corciano, Italy and in Halifax, Vermont.
